Dr Hesham is a Physician with over 15 years of experience serving communities across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.
He began his career as a General Practitioner in Egypt after graduating in 2009, before moving to Saudi Arabia, where he spent a decade focused on Emergency Medicine. Over the past five years, he has been practicing in Australia, further advancing his training and earning several postgraduate qualifications.

He is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and is committed to clinical excellence while continuously expanding his skills to better serve patients and the community.

Dr Thilani graduated from Sri Lanka and has nearly 9 years of experience across a range of medical and surgical specialties, including 2.5 years practicing at Mackay Base Hospital.

She has special interests in Women’s Health and family planning, including Mirena (IUD) and Implanon insertions, as well as ENT conditions.
She has completed additional women’s health training in Australia and continues to expand her skills in skin medicine.

Australia has been home for him since 2020. Originally from a small town just outside Vancouver, Canada, he completed his medical training at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.

DR Hnin Hu Wah

Hnin has been living in Australia since 2019 and had the pleasure of calling Mackay home since 2022, where she worked at Mackay Base Hospital. These years provided invaluable experience and helped her build strong connections within the community. She also speaks three languages: Thai, Burmese, and English.

In January 2025, she began her journey as a GP with Caneland Medical, and she is excited to continue serving the people of Mackay in her new role at PHMC.
​
She is particularly interested in chronic disease management, preventative health, and women’s health. Supporting patients over the long term and helping them achieve better health outcomes is truly rewarding.​

Her family has called Mackay home since 2019, and they absolutely love life there with her wonderful husband, son, and their beagle.

In her spare time, you’ll often find her out on her bike. She has even taken on the River to Reef Festival rides, completing both the 30 km and 60 km courses.

Dr Neda is in the final stages of completing her training as a specialist General Practitioner and is very pleased to be returning to the PHMC team.
She has lived in Mackay since 2021 and has worked at Mackay Base Hospital and in general practice, where she has enjoyed caring for the local community. Neda looks forward to welcoming new patients and building long-term, supportive relationships.

Her special interests include preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and women’s health, including menopausal health assessments, contraception, and medical termination of pregnancy. He loves a mix of both being indoors and outdoors. At home, He loves listening to music as well playing musical instruments (eg. piano/ guitar). Cooking is another side passion of his. He also loves spending his time out in the sun, to go for park runs, picnics at the beach and even a little hike once in a while.

Su graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2009 with a bachelor of physiotherapy. She is originally from South Korea where she studied and started physiotherapist journey before she came to Australia in 2006.

After graduating from Newcastle university, she then lived and worked in Maitland, NSW for over 15 years before she moved to Mackay.
Su enjoys working with all types of clients but retains a special interest in core stability.
​
Su has completed further training in rehab Pilates, back pain Pilates and dry needling, which she incorporates into her treatments.
Su employs a holistic approach to treatment, utilizing a blend of manual therapy, personalized exercises plans and education.
Outside of work she enjoys gym and Pilates exercises, camping and spending time with her two kids and husband.
