asking patients to register pic_edited.jpg

What you need to know & how to register:

MyMedicare is a registration program that tells us you have chosen PHMC as your regular care team.  If you do this, additional funding will be available from the government to help us provide the care you need - this means any care planning appointments will be bulk billed (eligible for Medicare items 965/967/2715/2717). Please note, standard fee's still apply for consultations and procedures etc.

See more information below on what the MyMedicare program is.

How to register:

Click below on the clinic location you usually visit, where your regular doctor is based.

To register yourself: Once you’re there, if you have the Medicare app click YES for instructions on how to register yourself.

To enable us to register on your behalf: (or if you do not have the Medicare Express app downloaded on your phone) click NO. This will allow you to complete an online consent, enabling us to register you at that clinic.

What is MyMedicare?

MyMedicare is a patient registration model, introduced by the Department of Health & Ageing.

MyMedicare aims to formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner (GP) and primary care teams.

MyMedicare patients and their usual GP and practice will have access to new benefits to help deliver more of the care patients need, improving health outcomes.

When you register for MyMedicare with Paul Hopkins Medical as your chosen practice, any care plan appointments (eligible for Medicare item 965/967/2715/2717) will be bulk billed! MyMedicare registrations enables Medicare to fund some of the costs of these appointments and pass those savings on to you.

Unfortunately if you are registered at another clinic, we may not be able to provide these services and/or private fee's will apply.

Am I eligible to register with PHMC?

You’re eligible to register in MyMedicare if you have:

People who are facing hardship will be exempt from all eligibility requirements. This includes people experiencing domestic and family violence and homelessness.

Parents/guardians and children can be registered at the same practice if one of them is eligible and registered. A parent/guardian must register a child under 14 years and provide consent on their behalf. Young people aged 14 to 17 years can register and provide consent without a parent/guardian.
