You have booked a brief appointment for repeat prescriptions only.

Please read the following information carefully before your appointment.

Before You Book

Where possible, please book your Script Only Appointment with your usual doctor.

If your regular doctor is unavailable, you are welcome to book a Script Only Appointment with any doctor at Paul Hopkins Medical Complex. Appointments can be booked online at www.phmc.au or by calling the clinic on (07) 4951 1311.

Script Only Appointments are bulk billed when the appointment is solely for eligible repeat prescriptions.

About Your Script Clinic Appointment

This appointment is bulk billed only if it is for repeat prescriptions.

Any other issues, concerns, or extended discussions may incur a standard consultation fee.

Prescriptions will only be provided at the doctor's discretion and only for medications that:

• Have previously been prescribed to you by a doctor at this practice; and

• Are due for renewal.

Prescriptions will not be provided for:

• Medications requiring PBS authority approval.

• Addictive or restricted medications, including opioids, benzodiazepines, or other controlled drugs.

• Antibiotics, as these require a full clinical assessment.

Some prescriptions are more complex and may only be completed by your usual doctor. The Script Clinic is not designed to accommodate these requests.

If the doctor determines that further assessment is required, or additional time is needed to safely manage your request, you may be asked to book a standard consultation.

General Practice Information

Cancellation Policy

If you do not attend your appointment or fail to cancel at least 2 hours before your scheduled appointment, a fee of up to $95 may apply.

Multiple missed appointments may result in:

• Additional fees; and

• A requirement to pre-pay before booking future appointments.

Consultation Fees

Paul Hopkins Medical Complex is a private billing practice.

• Standard consultations: $90–$150, depending on length and complexity.

• Medicare rebates are available for eligible patients.

• Patients under 16 years and over 65 years of age are bulk billed for standard consultations (where eligible for Medicare).

• Telephone consultations are charged at the same rate as face-to-face consultations.
